I feel the same way. I got back Thursday from visiting my parents in S.C. I have done nothing so far about getting ready for Christmas, so yesterday I checked last year's Christmas list to see who I needed to buy presents for. And there was Candan's name, and I was so overwhelmingly sad, wishing so much that I could give her a present this year. Honey, if only I could--or if I could go back in time--I'd send Soren to visit you, no matter what it cost.
Yes, Kilicaslan, the world feels so much emptier without Candan. I still have on my answering machine a message she left for me last year at this time, and her voice is cheerful and upbeat and full of hope for the new year. And I still have a Christmas card from her last year with the same sentiments. . . and I'd give anything to be able to hug her and tell her how much I love her.
